PROJECT SCOPE

Himes Associates, Ltd., in conjunction with our affiliate partner PMLA, were asked to assist Amgen in relocating their Research Center from Medford, Massachusetts to Cambridge, Massachusetts. PMLA, who has a long-standing relationship with Amgen, is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. PMLA utilized Himes expertise in assisting with keeping the mission critical timeline for Amgen's new facility intact. Himes Associates, Ltd. was able to quickly mobilize a team and immediately became involved with the project. The learning curve for this project was steep, given the timeline and the complexity of the laboratory, which contained multiple highly specialized pieces of laboratory equipment and various hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Himes Associates, Ltd. ensured that the Master Relocation Plan remained intact while maintaining conformance to Amgen's national standards. Throughout the relocation process, Himes executed an overall relocation plan which included: coordinating specialized pharmaceutical equipment vendors, coordinating trades to install and test specialized pharmaceutical equipment, deploying the master relocation plan and schedule, on-site move supervision, maintaining an employee help desk and invoice reconciliation procedures.
