PROJECT SCOPE

Himes Associates, Ltd. provided project management services to Atlantic Coast Airlines on several projects in Loudoun County, Virginia. One project was to assist Atlantic Coast Airlines (ACA) with the expansion of their maintenance hangar at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The expansion included a two-story 22,400 square foot addition, plus parking and access off Autopilot Drive. The architect was Giuliani Associates, and the project was completed in June 2001.

Additional projects included assisting Atlantic Coast in developing a strategic real estate plan to address their continued growth in the Dulles Virginia area. While ACA investigated two new buildings for expansion opportunities, as well as renovation of their current facility on Shaw Road in Dulles Virginia, Himes Associates provided design and construction information and modeling of the impact of various real estate options.

Relocation management services were also provided to support the tenant build-out for one full building and the renovation of the second phased building. The total project size was approximately 130,000 square feet between two buildings.
