Project Scope

Fannie Mae, Washington, D.C.: Himes Associates, Ltd., has been providing construction management, project management, relocation management, and consultative services to Fannie Mae for a variety of projects totaling over 650,000 square feet in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD. Projects and services have been varied and diverse. For example, Himes Associates provided full project management services for the base building renovations and tenant improvements on a 220,000 square foot office building in Washington, DC. The project included parking garage structural repairs, façade and plaza area waterproofing/structural repairs, and full upgrade to the building infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, elevator controls & cabs, fire alarm, life safety, security and tenant improvements. The project was completed 2 months prior to the scheduled delivery date which included the concurrent coordination of the Transit Authority work. Additionally, through creative and innovative project management, Fannie Mae was able to capture a positive revenue stream from the retail tenants during the renovation as well as capture approximately 8% cost savings on the total renovation project budget.

Another example of Himes Associates, Ltd., project management work with Fannie Mae includes the phased, fast-track renovation project in Bethesda, Maryland. Himes Associates acted as the single point of contact to Fannie Mae, coordinating design and construction activities with the Landlord, general contractor procurement, design management, construction management and integration of the various sub-consultants necessary to complete the project on time and within budget. Himes was also responsible for budget and schedule management for this successful project.

Beyond these two project examples, Himes Associates, Ltd., has provided consultative services as well as full-time contract employees to Fannie Mae over the years. We are very proud of our successful history with this important Washington, DC client.
